Terms of Service
Last updated 26 September 2026
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") form a binding agreement between the Company and you ("you" or the "Customer") governing your use of Yappify. Please read them carefully, together with our Privacy Policy.
1. The Company and these Terms
1.1 Yappify is operated by a company registered in the Republic of Lithuania (the "Company", "we", "us"). Company details are available on request at hello@yappify.co.
1.2 You can contact the Company at hello@yappify.co. Email is our primary means of communication, and we aim to reply within 14 days.
1.3 You accept these Terms when you make a payment, create an account or otherwise use the Service. If you do not agree to them, do not use the Service.
1.4 The version of these Terms in force at the time of a purchase governs that purchase. The date of the current version is shown at the top of this page.
2. Definitions
- "Service" means the Yappify website at yappify.co and everything provided through it.
- "Your Content" means the photos you upload and the text you submit.
- "Generated Content" means the videos the Service produces from Your Content.
- "Credit" means a prepaid unit that can be exchanged for the generation of one video.
3. The Service
3.1 The Service uses generative artificial intelligence to turn a photo of an animal and a short line of text into a short video in which the animal appears to speak.
3.2 The Service is provided for entertainment. We may change, add or remove features at any time.
3.3 We use third-party service providers to operate the Service, and your data may be shared with them as described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Eligibility and accounts
4.1 You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to purchase from the Service.
4.2 Your account is identified by the email address you provide. You sign in with one-time codes or links sent to that address, so anyone with access to your email can access your account. You must use an email address that belongs to you and keep it secure.
4.3 The information you give us must be accurate. You must use a payment method you are authorised to use.
4.4 Your account is for your own use. You may not sell, transfer or share access to it.
5. Prices, payment and refunds
5.1 Prices are shown in US dollars before you pay. Any applicable taxes are included or added as the law requires. We may change prices at any time, but a change never affects a purchase already made.
5.2 You may buy a single video or a pack of Credits. A first video may be offered at an introductory price. There are no subscriptions and no recurring charges.
5.3 Payments are processed by our payment provider. By paying, you authorise the charge to your chosen payment method. If you choose to save a card for future purchases, you can remove it at any time.
5.4 One Credit generates one video. Credits do not expire, have no cash value and cannot be transferred to another account.
5.5 Failed videos. If a video fails to generate, you are not charged for it. A Credit spent on it is returned to your account automatically. If you paid for it by card, contact us and we will refund the payment.
5.6 No other refunds. Except as stated in clauses 5.5 and 5.7, or where the law requires otherwise, all purchases are final. In particular, no refund is given:
- because you are dissatisfied with how Generated Content looks or sounds (see section 8)
- for Credits you have not used
- for videos generated from content that breaches section 7
5.7 We will refund a payment if you were charged more than once for the same purchase, or if a delivered video is faulty because of a technical failure on our side: for example, it does not play, has no sound or does not show your animal. We may also refund in other cases at our discretion, which does not oblige us to do so in any other case.
5.8 Refund requests must be sent to hello@yappify.co within 14 days of the charge, with the email address used for the purchase and a description of the problem.
5.9 Right of withdrawal. Consumers in the European Union normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase made online. Video generation starts as soon as you pay: by paying, you ask us to begin performance immediately, and you lose the right of withdrawal once the video has been delivered.
5.10 Chargebacks. If you have a problem with a charge, please contact us before disputing it with your bank; most issues are resolved faster that way. If a charge is disputed, we may provide the payment provider with records of the purchase, your acceptance of these Terms and your use of the Service.
6. Your Content and Generated Content
6.1 You keep ownership of Your Content. You grant the Company a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process, adapt and transmit Your Content, and to let our service providers do so on our behalf, only as needed to generate your videos and operate the Service.
6.2 You confirm that you own Your Content or have permission to use it, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
6.3 To the extent the law allows, Generated Content belongs to you. You may use it for personal or commercial purposes, including publishing it on social media and in advertising. The law on rights in AI-generated material is still developing, and we cannot guarantee that Generated Content is protected by copyright or that no one else could create something similar.
6.4 We will not use Your Content or Generated Content in our own marketing without your permission, and we do not use it to train AI models.
6.5 You may not use the Service to offer video generation to others as a service, or to resell access to the Service.
7. Acceptable use
7.1 You must not upload, submit or generate content that:
- depicts people, including children, rather than animals
- is sexual, violent, hateful, harassing, defamatory or otherwise unlawful
- infringes copyright, trademarks, privacy or other rights of any person
- depicts cruelty to animals
7.2 You must not:
- present Generated Content as real, unedited footage in a way that could mislead anyone. It is AI-generated and should be presented as such where that matters
- use the Service for fraud, impersonation, spam or any unlawful purpose
- access the Service by automated means, attempt to bypass payment, limits or security, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure
- copy, reverse engineer or attempt to extract the Service's source code or models
7.3 We may refuse to generate content, remove content and suspend or close accounts that breach this section, without refund. Where the law requires it, we may report unlawful content to the relevant authorities.
8. AI-generated content
8.1 Generated Content is produced automatically by probabilistic AI models. Every result is different. The movement, voice, timing and faithfulness to your text will vary, and results may contain distortions or artefacts.
8.2 We do not guarantee that Generated Content will meet your expectations. A video that differs from what you imagined is not a failure of the Service and does not entitle you to a refund.
8.3 You are responsible for reviewing Generated Content before you share or use it, and for how you use it.
9. Storage of your videos
9.1 We store your videos so you can access them from your account for as long as the Service operates, unless you ask us to delete them or your account is closed under section 7.
9.2 Each video is stored at an unlisted web address. Anyone who has that address or a copy of the video can view it. We recommend keeping your own copy of any video you want to keep.
10. Copyright complaints
10.1 If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, email hello@yappify.cowith the subject "Copyright complaint". Include: identification of the work you believe is infringed; identification of the infringing material and where it is located; your contact details; a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised; a statement that the information you have provided is accurate and that you are the owner or are authorised to act for the owner; and your physical or electronic signature.
10.2 We may remove material that is the subject of a valid complaint, and close the accounts of repeat infringers.
11. Availability and termination
11.1 We aim to keep the Service available, but it is not guaranteed to be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may suspend it for maintenance or security reasons.
11.2 You may stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing hello@yappify.co.
11.3 If we decide to discontinue the Service, we will give you reasonable notice so you can download your videos, and we will refund any unused Credits.
12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
12.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service and all Generated Content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
12.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms.
12.3 To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company's total liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid the Company in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) US$50.
12.4 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, or affects the statutory rights you have as a consumer, including rights relating to digital content that is faulty.
12.5 You agree to indemnify the Company against third-party claims, and related costs including reasonable legal fees, arising from Your Content or from your breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
13. Force majeure
13.1 The Company is not responsible for any failure or delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, epidemics, government action, power or internet failures, cyberattacks and failures of third-party providers.
14. Governing law and disputes
14.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence, and nothing in these Terms removes those rights.
14.2 Before bringing any claim, you agree to contact us at hello@yappify.co and give us 30 days to try to resolve the issue informally.
14.3 Arbitration for US residents. If you live in the United States, any dispute that is not resolved informally will be settled by binding arbitration on an individual basis, administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, instead of in court. Either party may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court. You may opt out of this clause by emailing hello@yappify.cowithin 30 days of your first purchase with the subject "Arbitration opt-out".
14.4 No class actions. Where permitted by law, you and the Company may bring claims against each other only individually, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective or representative proceeding.
14.5 Nothing in this section prevents you from contacting a consumer protection authority, or from bringing a claim in a court where applicable law gives you that right.
15. General
15.1 We may update these Terms. Updated Terms apply from the date shown at the top of this page and govern purchases made after that date. We will notify you by email of material changes before they take effect.
15.2 You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may transfer ours to a successor operating the Service.
15.3 If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest of the Terms remain in effect.
15.4 These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and the Company regarding the Service. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
15.5 You confirm that you are not subject to sanctions that would prohibit you from using the Service. We may restrict access to the Service in any jurisdiction.
15.6 These Terms are written in English, and the English version prevails over any translation.
15.7 Provisions that by their nature should survive the end of this agreement, including sections 5, 6, 12 and 14, will survive.
